Editorial policy and independence

MadaTsidika is not affiliated with any travel agency, tour operator or official tourist board. No destination featured here is paid for: no page is sponsored, and no business pays to be listed.

The site is funded in two ways, disclosed here for transparency:

• Advertising served by third-party networks (see "Cookies and advertising" below). Ads are selected by the network, never by the publisher, and have no bearing on page content.
• Transport referrals: when a visitor requests a quote through the Ground transport page, the request is passed on to independent Malagasy drivers and vehicle rental operators. The publisher earns a commission from the operator if a booking goes ahead. The service is free and non-binding for the traveller, and does not change the price they are offered.

Sources and accuracy

Content is written from on-the-ground knowledge, public national-park documentation and reference works on Madagascar. Practical details (fees, opening times, road conditions, flight links) change fast in the country: every destination page carries its last-updated date, and these details should always be reconfirmed with parks, carriers or accommodation before you travel. If you spot an error, report it through the Contact page — corrections are made and dated.

Intellectual property

The text on this site is written for MadaTsidika and remains its property. Photographs come from Wikimedia Commons and are published under Creative Commons licences; the author and licence of each image are shown beneath the photo itself and collected on the Photo credits page.

Cookies and advertising

This site displays advertising served by third-party networks, notably Google AdSense. Google and its partners may set cookies, or read existing ones, in order to serve ads matched to your interests and measure their performance. MadaTsidika has access neither to the contents of those cookies nor to the data they collect.

At any time you can:

• adjust Google ad personalisation at myadcenter.google.com;
• opt out of targeted advertising from major networks via youronlinechoices.com;
• block or delete cookies from your browser settings.

Personal data

MadaTsidika keeps no visitor database and carries out no sign-up, no profiling and no resale of data.

The quote form on the Transport page sends nothing to a server: it drafts a message in your own mail client, which you remain free to send or not. Whatever you choose to send (name, e-mail, dates, itinerary) is used solely to prepare your quote and is shared only with the carrier needed to answer it. It is never sold or used for advertising.

You may ask to see, correct or delete messages concerning you by writing to madatsidikacontact@gmail.com; deletion is carried out within 30 days.
